These terms govern your use of the KZN Catering Equipment website and any information, enquiries or requests submitted through it. By using this site, you agree to these terms and to the lawful use of our content, product information and contact channels.

This website is provided for visitors seeking commercial kitchen solutions in Durban and KwaZulu-Natal, including kitchens for restaurants, hospitals, canteens and related food service operations. You may browse the site, read our service information and submit an enquiry for lawful business purposes only.

You must not use this website in a way that damages the site, interferes with access, or places unreasonable load on our systems. You may not attempt to copy, scrape, alter or republish content without written permission.

Information, specifications and quotations

Product descriptions, equipment specifications, layout notes and service details on this site are provided for general guidance. Final recommendations depend on site conditions, kitchen size, workflow, ventilation, power supply, extraction requirements and municipal or building rules that apply to the premises.

Any quotation, drawing, estimate or scope of work issued by KZN Catering Equipment must be treated as valid only for the period stated on that document. Prices may change because of supplier costs, transport, material availability, installation conditions or changes to the specification. A quote does not create a binding order until it is accepted in writing and, where required, deposit arrangements are confirmed.

Orders, delivery and installation

Orders are subject to stock availability, lead times, access to the site and any technical information needed to complete the work. Where equipment must be delivered to Glen Anil, Durban North, Umhlanga, Pinetown, Ballito or Pietermaritzburg, timing may vary due to traffic, site access and installation scheduling.

The customer must ensure that the site is ready for delivery and installation, including power points, plumbing, drains, gas connections, floor levels and clear access routes. If a site is not ready, additional charges may apply for repeat visits, waiting time or storage.

  • All dimensions, services and clearances must be checked before installation begins.
  • Any change request after approval may affect cost and completion dates.
  • Risk may pass on delivery or installation handover, depending on the agreed scope.

Service work, maintenance and repairs

Our service team may provide preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, commissioning and staff training for kitchen equipment. While we aim to respond promptly, attendance times cannot be guaranteed, especially during busy periods, load-shedding conditions or high call volumes across KwaZulu-Natal.

The customer must provide safe access to equipment, isolate services where required and disclose any known faults, prior modifications or water, gas or electrical issues. We are not responsible for delays caused by unsafe working conditions, missing parts or equipment that has been altered by others.

  • Maintenance visits are limited to the agreed scope.
  • Consumables, replacement parts and outsourced repairs may be billed separately.
  • Where equipment is beyond economical repair, we may recommend replacement instead of further fault finding.

Content ownership and permitted use

All text, photographs, drawings, layouts, logos, service descriptions and other content on this website belong to KZN Catering Equipment or are used with permission. They are protected under South African copyright and related laws.

You may view and print pages for internal business reference only. You may not copy our material for another website, tender pack, sales brochure or social media post without written consent. Any unauthorised use may lead to legal action.

Privacy, enquiry forms and communications

When you send an enquiry, request a site survey or ask for a quotation, you provide contact details and project information that we use to respond to your request and manage the work. This may include email, telephone number, site address, kitchen type and equipment requirements.

Liability, law and contact details

The website is operated by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd on behalf of KZN Catering Equipment. To the fullest extent allowed by South African law, we are not liable for indirect loss, lost profit, interruption of business, or damage arising from the use of this website or reliance on general information published here.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any dispute will be dealt with in the appropriate South African forum.
